What an amazing promise and statement from Jesus. He has placed no limitations, no hindrances and no obstacle to His promise and says “all things whatsovever you pray and ask for”. This is amazing as it doesn’t matter if it’s the smallest thing or if it’s something huge, if it matters to you, it matters to God. He says “believe that you receive them”, too often we place a large amount of focus on the believing and forget to receive! If you are still asking it shows that you have not received, as this verse says “believe that you receive and you shall have”. Faith is receiving when you ask, pray and believe, not when you see it in the natural. To receive means to take with the hand, lay hold of, to take what is one’s own, to take to one’s self, to make one’s own, to claim, procure, for one’s self, to choose and to select. Choose to receive what you are asking and believing for, take hold of what is yours and receive His promise. |
