Mat 14:15 (Message Bible) But when evening was come, the disciples came to Him and said, "This is an uninhabited place, and the best of the day is now gone; send the people away to go into the villages and buy something to eat."
Mat 14:16 "They need not go away," replied Jesus; "you yourselves must give them something to eat."
Mat 14:17 "We have nothing here," they said, "but five loaves and a couple of fish."
Mat 14:18 "Bring them here to me," He said,
Mat 14:19 and He told all the people to sit down on the grass. Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and after looking up to heaven and blessing them, He broke up the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples distributed them to the people.
Mat 14:20 So all ate, and were fully satisfied. The broken portions that remained over they gathered up, filling twelve baskets.

In this story the disciples asked Jesus to send the people away as it was getting late and they were hungry. Notice that Jesus told the disciples to do something about the situation. The disciples were aware of the needs of the people but felt that the situation before them was way beyond what they could do. There is only so much that human effort can do and if we like these disciples are only conscious of lack and what we do not have, we will always feel that we cannot do anything. Jesus looked at what he had but then looked up to heaven. The original language says that He regained His sight. What that means is that He looked up to heaven and saw things from God's perspective. From God's perspective there is no lack only unlimited abundance, there is no sickness only health and wholeness, no fear only safety and peace, no defeat only victory! The disciples then watched as Jesus blessed what He had and fed five thousand with baskets left over, and I like what it says, that they were all satisfied.

Sometimes we need to regain our sight and see things from Gods perspective.

Whatever you are going through see things from a position of abundance, peace and wholeness as that is the True and eternal perspective. Our efforts will only take us so far, but with God, He supernaturally takes us way beyond what we could imagine. When we trust in His finished work and who He says we are, we too can bless what we have, see miracles happen and remain satisfied.
