Our crusade in a Kwandabele township 2 hours from Johannesburg went extremely well. We partnered with Rich and Michelle Franzen and Impact Africa for this crusade with the goal of planting a church with one of the local pastors in the area.
The crusade was held on a field that has been alocated for a clinic, community centre and computer traing centre. This was the first open air crusade they had ever experienced and there was tremendous excitement in the air. The team from Impact Africa did house to house visitations, prayed for the sick, painted the nearby school and were a tremendous blessing to the community. Every night hundreds of people responded to the good news and Jesus was glorified.
We have been showing "the Passion" before we preach and it has been a wonderful tool in reaching people. As people watch what happened to Jesus in His final hour they are moved by the price that was paid for sin, sickness, poverty and death. We love being on crusade and seeing so many respond to the love of God and always leave a community "being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Phil 1:6).
Our Heavenly Father is faithful and His Word is true and as people believe the good news of the finished work of the cross they are changed from the inside out. We know that it is only by His grace that we can experience all that He has for us.
It was fun working with Impact Africa and we are grateful for all the hard work done by the Franzens in impacting this community.
